For those of you who were absent for today's lesson, the worksheets given out (for Lesson 9), as well as the quiz (Quiz 7) can be found here: Problem Answers. Do attempt to catch up on your own as next week's lesson on Alkenes will require some of this knowledge too (namely, reaction mechanisms)!
The reading for next week is also outlined in the Lesson Preparation page.

Welcome back to school!!
This announcement is to let you know that the class on Thursday 8th of July has been cancelled in light of a HCI having a half-day.
However, your holiday assignments are still due by the end of next week, i.e. by Friday 9th of July. Please try to hand them up by then (hard copy preferred this time).

NYGH students and HCI absentees from the class on 13th May: Do remember to hand in your completed Assignment 1 by this week! If you were absent, assignement 1 can be found on the Lesson Preparation page. [Note: This assignement is different from the Holiday Assignement, which is due upon your return in Term 3.]

How to hand in your assignments Option 1: Bring them to HCI and deliver them to my pigeon hole, located on the 3rd floor main staffroom (it is ok for you to come in to the staffroom). The pigeon holes are inside the staffroom at the centre along the inside wall. My pigeon hole is under the Chemistry Section, right at the top. Option 2: Scan your completed assignements and email them to me!

Please bring Quiz 1 for the upcoming lesson for editing of marks because for question 2(a), SF2 is accepted as an answer and the half mark will be given.
For convenience, you can request for notification from the wiki whenever a change is made by clicking on the tab "Notify Me" above.
Some of the questions raised in class yesterday are being shared on the "Discussion" tab in the "Organic Chemistry Discussion" page. Should there be any queries you have with regards to yesterday's lesson, you are free to add them to the discussion. For those who know the answers, you can help answer the questions.
